
My main problem with this game has nothing to do with the port - I've never been a big fan of how many characters are in your party and how fast they enter, without any establishment of personal stories or backgrounds. The camera can be a little tricky, but so as long as you maintain a lock on your target you don't have to worry about missing. And with seventeen characters, there's no need to revive in combat, you can effectively switch them out. And all your teammates are revived as soon as you enter a town or start a new mission. True, you cannot revive fallen comrades in battle, but you can use a Phoenix Down as soon a she battle ends. Contrary to some reviewers, you can cure in the middle of combat. Gaming felt lazier, but cooler, when I had to just listen to the story told to me. I had to read everything to understand what was going on. I grew up playing video games before they even had dialogue audio. This games requires you to read a lot and search out objectives. And, no, you do not need a guide to play this game. True, it's not a visual masterpiece, but many of great game aren't always visually stunning. This game is an 8.5, but I'm giving it a ten to try and offset the really low score reviews.
